A Retrospective Study of Concervative Patients Treated with Total Gastrectomy at the Department of Surgery, EUL JI Medical Center in Daejeon Cith during 10 Years from September 1990

Abstract
|
|
|
The results were as follows:
@EN 1) The most common age group was 50decade948.3%) and the next was 60decande(28.3%).
2) The ratio of male(42) to female(18) was about 2.3 : 1.
3) The sites of stomach cancer was proximal 1/3 in 31 cases, middle 113 in 16 cases, diffuse infiltrative type in 8 cases, multiple type in 1 cases.
4) The most common of total gastrectomy on Dae Jeon EUL JI medical center were stomach cancer.
5) Anastomotic leakage was noted in 3 cases(12.5%) of esophagojejunostomy with Braun anastomosis, 2 cases(5.5%) of roux-en-Y esophagojejunostomy.
6) The incidence of late complication among OPD following patients were 13 cases(63.4%0 in loop esophagojejunostomy with Braun anastomosis and 7 cases(25%) in Roux-en-Y esophagojejunostomy.
7) After total gastrectomy, the survival of stomach cancer was 56.8% in 1 year 22.6% in 3 years.
